  Planning & Procurement Intern / 100 hours a month

For our Procurement and External Manufacturing Operations department The LEGO Group is looking for an ambitious intern to join our team of four, consisting of planning, procurement and quality professionals.  The position is based in Strykow, PL, and you will have the opportunity to carpool with colleagues. You will have a large degree of flexibility in regards to what days you work. But expect three days a week and flexibility up to five days if needed. We also offer our flexibility around exams.

Key responsibilities:

As an intern you get real responsibilities from day one and you fully participate in the Procurement team. You will have the opportunity to gain relevant experience in a professional environment and dynamic market. You will also get the space to put your own knowledge and ideas into practice.

In this role you are responsible for and involved in:

Supporting the execution of Finished Goods Planning, (20% of the job time)

• Work with basic planning tools, processes and policies to be able to support the team in daily operations, administration.

• Balance demand and supply, and ensure delivery of finished goods to our distribution center to support customer demand.

• Supporting Finished Goods planning across the life cycle – from launch to exit phase

 Component planning (40% of the job time)

• Learn basic planning tools, processes and policies to be able to support the team in daily operations, administration.

• Work in the SAP Order Management module.

• Ensure good communication with Component Planning entities located in Hungary, Denmark and Czech Republic.

 SAP Procurement Master Data Management (40% of the job time)

• Maintain Procurement SAP Master Data related to the procurement function (mainly Vendor Master Data).

• The above activities serve as an example. The work is very varied and partly ad hoc, so that the resulting work can also differ.

 Profile:

Procurement Intern role is suitable for the College/University student with limited or no business experience, but with the ultimate potential to grow and develop into a permanent role within The LEGO Group after the studies.

• College or University student in higher grade (3rd to 5th year) of the study.

• Preferred fields of study are economics, math, finance, engineering or law.

• Fluent English (almost daily use) and confident Polish.

• Enthusiastic and driven.

• Ambitious and result oriented.

• Analytically strong and accurate.

• Proactive and communicative.

• Solid computer skills including Microsoft (Excel, PowerPoint).

• Place of work is Strykow, PL.
