Laundry Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Laundry Technician to join our team. The Laundry Technician is responsible for washing, drying, folding, and ironing linens, garments, and other items according to established standards and procedures. This role requires attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to handle laundry equipment safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate commercial washers, dryers, and pressing equipment safely and effectively

Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron laundry items as required (e.g., uniforms, bedding, towels)

Inspect garments and linens for damage or stains before and after laundering

Treat stains and perform minor repairs (e.g., sewing buttons, patching tears) when necessary

Ensure proper handling and separation of items by color, fabric, and washing requirements

Monitor and replenish laundry chemicals and supplies as needed

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area

Adhere to health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times

Record daily laundry loads and equipment maintenance logs

Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues promptly

Assist with inventory of linens and other laundry supplies

Follow all company policies and procedures

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping environment is a plus

Familiarity with industrial laundry equipment and cleaning chemicals

Ability to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods

Strong attention to detail and quality control

Good communication and organizational skills

Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if needed
