Small IT Support firm based in the London, UK currently recruiting for IT Support Engineer for remote work (1st, 2nd Line of IT support).
This is B2B contract hence the person we are looking for would;
a) already have registered business (or would be willing to register with TWOJ STARTUP (or similar service)
b) have a minimum of C1 skills in English language (If you are not sure whether you are going to be able to communicate in English language over the phone with native English language speakers please do not apply). Extensive interview in English language only.
Above conditions must be met!
Right candidate will receive payment of 45zl per hour for the first 3 months and 50zl per hour thereafter. Please note that our Engineers normally clock 80 - 120 hours a month.
As a self employed person you are going to be expected to pay your own taxes and other insurance contributions.
IT Support Engineer (remote working Mon-Fri 10:00 – 18:30)
Scope of work;
· Remote Support for our clients using telephone, email and internal ticketing system.
• Supporting company clients’ systems (Office 365, Azure AD, DropBox for Business, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Windows Server 2012, 2016, JAMF, Mac OS, iPhones)
• Working on IT service desk requests and provide solutions based on documentation written by senior team members in English)
• Educate employees about IT processes and self-service options
• Support desktop equipment (computers, phones, printers, tablets etc.): prioritization of incoming requests, identify root causes, take remedial action as prescribed by documentation
• Participation in onboarding of new joiners: set up laptops for new starters, distribute peripheral equipment according to the established process, monitor incoming tickets for laptop provisioning requests.
• Routinely propose updates to problem solving documentation when encountering outdated or absent articles
Must have (be)
• Self-motivated and hard working.
• Perfect written and spoken English (daily contact with native English speakers hence minimum of C1 English is must have)
• Minimum 3 years experience as a 1st or 2nd tier IT Support Engineer, Active directory Administrator, Network Administrator or similar.
• Network - understanding of network fundamentals, able to describe operation of TCP/IP protocol in general, able to explain the operation of wired and wireless Ethernet networks
• Curiosity and enthusiasm to learn about IT
• Having sense of ownership, readiness to work on unattractive tasks/projects for the benefit of the company
• Good time management skills: ability to plan activities for oneself and others, understand dependencies between own work product and inputs to others
• Analytical ability to dissect a problem and find a root cause.
Nice to have
• Knowledge of Apple Business Manager
• Knowledge of JAMF MDM
• Graduation in Computer Science, Information Systems, IT, or similar
WordPress knowledge and ability to create simple websites.
