The compact Shuttle XPC slim Barebone XH170V is the perfect start for a small but powerful Mini PC. It is not only adapted for a silent multimedia computer to have connected to your TV, it can also achieve the requirements set for an office computer.

If you install a 14nm Intel Skylake processor and an SSD hard drive, you can get a really powerful and efficient computer. The barebone's built-in heat dissipation makes this Barebone a silent computer if you choose not to install any fans.

Efficient and powerful 3litre PC
The ultracompact Shuttle XPC slim Barebone XH170V is an ideal basis for a small, but powerful Mini PC. Not only is it suitable for a lownoise homemedia PC with support of 4K displays, it also meets the requirements towards an office PC and industrial applications. It allows for operating three displays at the same time, features an Intel network chip and a useful "AlwaysonJumper" for autostart after powerfail. In a team with 14nm socket LGA1151 Intel "Skylake" processor and a SSD drive the XH170V makes for a powerefficient and reliable system for a wide range of applications. The builtin heatpipe cooling ensures the system runs quietly at maximum stability.

Alwayson Jumper
This machine is provided with a hardware solution to keep it permanently switched on (e.g. after a power outage). If you remove the jumper documented in the manual, the PC then starts as soon as the power supply is restored.

Highresolution DisplayPort
The DisplayPort connector allows for connections with digital highresolution displays. Depending on processor and display model resolutions of up to 4K/Ultra HD (3840x2160) can be achieved. Besides picture signal, DisplayPort cables can also lead digital sounds signals in excellent quality.

HDMI interface
Goodbye cable spaghetti! Modern flatscreen TVs and largeformat TFT screens can be connected to this MiniPC with just a single thin cable. Often the audio output is also transferred in brilliant quality via the HDMI cable.

The interface for the fastest of memory media
Internal drives to be used inside this MiniPC can transfer data at a speed of up to 6 Gbit/s. Hard drives thus run significantly faster and brandnew media technologies such as SSDs can use their full potential. Be sure to look for SATA 6 Gbit/s.

Antitheft protection
The Kensington Lock forms part of the antitheft system. As with many other Notebooks, this MiniPC can also be safely locked, ensuring longterm enjoyment from your Shuttle product.

The fastest connection to external peripheral devices available to date
The USB 3.0 connectors of this model allow for data transfer of up to 5 Gbit/s (625 MB/s). This enables external devices such as USB hard disks to be connected and run at nearly the same speed as their internal siblings. USB 3.0 is downward compatible so that also devices of previous USB generations can be hooked up.

Cleverly hidden
In this model the ports and drives are hidden behind moveable panels that offer ideal protection from dust and ensure a clean, harmonious look. Not everyone needs to be able to see just what your MiniPC can do.

Just 2.5" HDDs
An extremely compact PC housing offers less space for drives, that's why this MiniPC uses slimline 2.5inch hard disks. The advantage of this is that there's less noise, less heat generated and reduced power consumption. However small hard disks in a small housing does not have to mean less memory. Modern 2.5" HDDs are every bit as good as their 3.5" brothers.

You can rely on SSD
This is where an energysaving "Solid State Drive" should be used. This drive technology guarantees extremely short access times, the highest data transmission rates and considerably lower energy consumption compared to conventional hard disks. SSDs have no mechanical components at all, are therefore subject to less wear and tear and consequently benefit from a longer service life.

For a longer life and more system stability
