Sand Land powstało w roku 2000 i jest jednym z dzieł Akiry Toriyamy, twórcy Dragon Ball. Manga cieszyła się popularnością, ale dopiero w 2024 roku na światło dzienne ukazały się anime oraz gra wideo o tym samym tytule.

A do animacji powstała muzyka, za którą zabrał się Yugo Kanno.
