Medal „Za rozwój ziem dziewiczych” jest nagrodą państwową ZSRR.
Powstał dekretem Prezydium Rady Najwyższej ZSRR z dnia 20 października 1956 roku. Autorem projektu medalu jest artysta N. N. Filippov.
Medal „Za zagospodarowanie dziewiczych ziem” przyznawany jest kołchozom, pracownikom PGR-ów, MTS, organizacji budowlanych i innych, pracownikom partyjnym, sowieckim, związkowym i Komsomołu za dobrą pracę na rzecz zagospodarowania dziewiczych i ugorów w rejonach Kazachstanu, Syberii, Uralu, Wołgi i Północnego Kaukazu.
Medal „Za rozwój dziewiczych ziem” wykonany jest z metalu nieżelaznego i ma kształt regularnego koła o średnicy 32 mm. Ucho medalu występowało w dwóch wersjach wykonania – zaokrąglonej szlifowanej i rzadszej – zaokrąglonej wypukłej.

Die Medaille „Für die Entwicklung von Neuland“ ist eine staatliche Auszeichnung der UdSSR.
Gegründet durch Dekret des Präsidiums des Obersten Sowjets der UdSSR vom 20. Oktober 1956. Der Autor des Medaillenprojekts ist der Künstler N. N. Filippov.
Die Medaille „Für die Erschließung von Neuland“ wird an Kollektivbauern, Arbeiter von Staatsbetrieben, MTS, Bau- und anderen Organisationen, Partei-, Sowjet-, Gewerkschafts- und Komsomol-Mitarbeitern für gute Arbeit bei der Erschließung von Neu- und Brachland in den Regionen Kasachstan, Sibirien, Ural, Wolgaregion und Nordkaukasus verliehen.
Die Medaille „Für die Entwicklung von Neuland“ besteht aus Buntmetall und hat die Form eines regelmäßigen Kreises mit einem Durchmesser von 32 mm. Das Ohr der Medaille hatte zwei Herstellungsmöglichkeiten – ein abgerundetes geschliffenes und ein selteneres – ein abgerundetes konvexes.

The Medal "For the Development of Virgin Lands" is a state award of the USSR.
Established by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR on October 20, 1956. The author of the medal design is artist N. N. Filippov.
The medal "For the Development of Virgin Lands" is awarded to collective farmers, workers of state farms, machine and tractor stations, construction and other organizations, party, Soviet, trade union and Komsomol workers for good work in the development of virgin and fallow lands in the regions of Kazakhstan, Siberia, the Urals, the Volga region and the North Caucasus.
The medal "For the Development of Virgin Lands" is made of non-ferrous metal and has the shape of a regular circle with a diameter of 32 mm. The eyelet of the medal had two manufacturing options - rounded ground off and a rarer one - rounded convex
