Usage temperature
We provide "comfort temperatures" on all our sleeping bags, tested in independent laboratories (AITEX) in accordance with the European standard NF ISO 23537 of January 21, 2017. "Comfort temperature" is the lowest temperature at which in a relaxed position, the user essentially feels thermal balance, i.e. neither cold nor warm (this is determined for an average woman under normal conditions of use). CHOOSE A SLEEPING BAG DEPENDING ON YOUR COMFORT TEMPERATURE.
What is the comfort temperature limit?
The "comfort limit temperature" is the temperature at which a crouched sleeping bag user remains in thermal equilibrium and feels neither heat nor cold (guidelines for an average man under normal conditions of use).
Composition
Inner and outer material: 100% polyester | Filling: 100% polyester (300 g/m² wadding).
What should you know about temperatures?
The sleeping bag does not produce heat, it only retains the heat produced by the body. If an exhausted and cold person enters a damp and icy sleeping bag, he or she will be cold regardless of its properties.
Temperatures therefore depend on the person's resistance to cold (body structure, fatigue, etc.), their equipment (insulation of the mattress from the ground, etc.), clothes (e.g. naked, in underwear) and climatic conditions (e.g. humidity, wind).
Before you get into your sleeping bag
Dress lightly (one layer of clothing is enough). Warm up your limbs: hat, gloves, socks, warmers, warming ointments... A bottle with warm water can be used as a hot water bottle (if there is no risk of unwanted opening!). Tense your muscles (70% of the energy used is converted into heat), but do not move so as not to produce a cold stream of air. To wash your sleeping bag less often, use a special sheet.
Washing the sleeping bag
We recommend washing it in a washing machine with a minimum capacity of 7 kg. Before putting the sleeping bag in the washing machine, close the zippers.
