SAP BI/BW Specialist

What we are looking for:

• University degree in Business Administration, Business Informatics, Informatics or similar studies

• Experience in supporting and managing SAP applications in the BI environment

• Experience in using or implementing SAP BI tools (SAP BW 7.5, SAC, SAP Datasphere) with technical focus

• Good understanding of BI data flows and processes

• Experience with 2nd level support and ticketing /trackspace) processes will be an asset

• Very good English skills (both oral and written)

• Project management skills

Responsibilities:

Based on his/her functional and technical expertise and background the SAP BI/BW Specialist manages operational tasks and projects regarding IT-support of our business applications on the BI platform.

The actual BI Platform consists of:

• SAP BWonHANA

• SAP BOE (BusinessObjectsEntreprise) with tools LUMIRA, WebIntelligence and AfO

• SAC (SAP AnalyticsCloud)

• SAP Datasphere (SAP DWC merged with SAP DI) being analyzed

• SAP S4HANA (Forward) being supported within single reporting use cases

The SAP BI/BW Specialist is part of the operations teams of SAP BI platform applications and works within the 2nd level support structures. He/She will be part of change request activities and implementation projects of new applications on the BI platform.

Furthermore he/she will complement the BI IT team in Germany with his/her skills and knowledge in further developing and expanding the BI platform for future business requirements.

In your new job you will:

• Ensure a smooth operation of the BI platform applications

• Proactive monitoring of interfaces and automated processes regarding data integrity, performance and timeliness

• Derive necessary measures in case of analyzed risks or incidents, involving the needed stakeholders (e.g. other IT departments, customers, service providers)

• Support and assist our internal customers within the 2nd level support and ticketing (trackspace) processes for incidents, trouble shooting and change requests

• Provide consulting services for internal business units and customers in the group in IT-related topics regarding the BI platform

• Conceptual design and implementation of new applications within the BI platform landscape

• Customizing of the supported applications according to technical and/or business needs, coordination of test activities and ongoing documentation of the supported solutions

• Be an active contributer and driver of automation and digitization in BI  IT and the supported processes – your ideas, experience and visions are highly welcome in our highly cooperative team

• Act as product manager for selected BI IT applications, including budget and controlling functions

• Support/manage the lifecycle of BI IT-products and ensure alignment to BI IT strategy and IT architecture guidelines

• Support/manage projects in the BI IT landscape with focus on Finance & Controlling
