Requirements:

• Min. 5 years of practical experience in supporting and managing SAP applications in the FI environment

• SAP FI (AP, AR, GL, FI-AA, etc.) must have; preferably also adjacent SAP modules (e.g. CO)

• Expertise in customizing and conceptual design of SAP solutions

• Good understanding of financial data flows and processes

• IT demand management, process management and service management experience

• IT Infrastructure experience

• Project management skills

• ITIL skills

• Very good command of English

• German will be an asset

• Excellent communication skills

• Planning and organizational talent

• Analytical skills and accuracy, problem solving competence

• Flexibility and willingness to learn and to pick up new topics

Responsibilities:

Based on his/her functional and technical expertise and background the IT Manager - SAP Finance manages tasks and projects in the field of the IT support of our finance processes and will take an active part in the S/4 HANA transformation of Lufthansa Group.

The focus is on standard SAP ERP FI (AR, AP, GL and adjacent SAP modules), SAP CO and on customer developed solutions in the SAP environment, both SAP ERP & S/4 HANA.

The IT Manager - SAP Finance is entrusted with projects in the functional area of Finance IT – he/she manages (international) projects from first conceptual ideas to production rollout. He/she coordinates all relevant parties and stakeholders inside and outside the LGBS organization.

Furthermore he/she will complement the LGBS Finance IT team in Germany with his/her skills and knowledge in coordinating and solving operational issues and upcoming functional requirements within the SAP Finance landscape.

• Manage applications and services within the landscape with focus on SAP ERP FI/CO and S/4 HANA Finance

• Daily operational support of payment and bank statement related applications and bank master data as well as rollout projects

• Ensure a smooth operation of the Finance IT applications in close cooperation with IT team members in Germany as well as the contracted service providers

• Support and consulting of internal company business units and customers in the company group in IT-related issues in the field of Finance

• Design and implement new applications within the Finance IT landscape

• Monitor interfaces and automated processes regarding integrity, performance and optimal usage

• Customize the supported applications according to technical and/or business needs, coordination of test activities and ongoing documentation of the supported solutions

• Act as product manager for selected IT applications, including budget and controlling functions

• Manage the lifecycle of IT products  and ensure alignment to IT strategy and IT architecture guidelines

• Manage and support projects in the field of Finance IT (e.g. international roll-out of solutions, IT harmonization projects, implementation of new functionalities)

• Support customer projects and internal projects in terms of project planning and execution
