Opis

For a large international packaging company we are searching for a Business Development Manager with a sufficient network and extensive experiences within the Packaging for Food Industry.

As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for initiating contact with new customers, in order to generate and qualify leads, promote the company’s products, identifying sales opportunities. You will be clearly and convincingly articulate company's offerings and value proposition, overcoming the initial resistance from prospects.

Your focus area will be specific market segments relevant for the European Growth Strategy and a specific sub geographic region (Eastern Europe: specifically Poland, Romania, Czech republic, Slovakia, Hungary).

your tasks

As a new business development manager you will start managing an initial sales portfolio related to customers based in Eastern Europe so you can focus on active acquisition of new business.

In a close relationship with the Marketing, Finance, Purchasing, Operations, Supply Chain, Site Commercial, Sales & Marketing (within RPC Europe and with Corporate) you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Develop trust relationships and identify potential new customers in the food segment in Eastern Europe
  • Connect with key decision-makers
  • Get meetings with prospects
  • Qualify new business opportunities
  • Close new sales
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements
  • Expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives
  • Conducts market research to identify the market trends and accordingly strategize to enter into unexplored areas and capture the market through effective measures
  • Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders

what we expect

  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in sales hunting role with proven results in Packaging Industry for Food Market
  • Fluent English and at least one other major European language is desirable
  • University degree in applied economics, business administration, sales or relevant field 
  • Light financial background (P&L understanding)
  • Highly motivated in order to manage challenging goals (i.e. building growth in areas where company has no footprint)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels
  • Able to deal effectively with pressure, recover quickly from setbacks, and remain optimistic and persistent even under adversity
  • Ability in problem-solving and negotiation
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Being able to think long term – conceptual, and “out of the box”
  • Ability to work successfully in a matrix organization
  • Experience with CRM systems (preferably MS Dynamics)

  • Readiness for frequent business trips (50-70% of working time)
  • Readiness to visit a plant in the Łódź voivodeship or readiness to relocate (relocation package)
